The company develops, manufactures and sells drives for reliable smoke extraction and controlled natural ventilation, control panels, LSC Lift Smoke Control systems, smoke and heat exhaust ventilation systems compliant with EN 12101-2, alarms, detectors and operating panels and fire door control solutions.
The origins of D+H Mechatronic go back to Henner Dingfelder and Klaus Hadler, who installed pneumatic and hydraulic smoke exhaust in 1968. In 1974, the company was joined by Helmut Kern, who kicked off the development of further building technology products.
Now the company can be boasted of 250 employees in the Headquarter in Ammersbek , about 500 employees world-wide , 8 service and sales companies with further subsidiaries (national & international) and 130 Service and Sales Partners and customers - 50 in Germany and 80 in more than 50 countries worldwide.
The company was one of the first companies to develop natural and electro-motive operated solutions for smoke and heat exhaust ventilation (SHEV).
In 1994, D+H was the first manufacturer of electrical SHEV systems certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 and brought the first VdS-recognized SHEV system to the market in 2006.

Employee loyalty and commitment for training and professional development
Employee ownership in the company, which was implemented in 1990, is another sign of our partnership-based company culture. The long length of employment is another a large portion of the personnel has already been at D+H for over ten years.
Furthermore the familiy-owned company sets high priority on training. D+H provides training in up to six careers. Currently 22 apprentices belong to the D+H team in the headquarters.

The company network of approximately 130 Service and Sales Partners and customers is critical for our company's international success. Many of these mostly owner-operated specialist companies have already been working with D+H for decades. The rules of collaboration are very simple: D+H develops the products, the partner companies sell, install and service them.
D+H is obligated to forward queries from parties interested in a specific field to the responsible partner for further processing, and partners are obligated to sell D+H products. Central marketing and sales concepts are introduced and discussed together as part of the annual partner conferences.
To this date, D+H Mechatronic has completed more than 100,000 projects on all continents, including such highprofile assignments as Berlin’s new central railway station, Hamburg International Airport, the Museum of Modern Art in New York City or the Nelson Mandela Stadium in South Africa.
