When established conservatory roof specialist TCR Systems decided to add aluminium bifolds to its product portfolio, it asked its existing trade customers which product and system they liked the best.
The most popular response was AluK and, largely as a result, TCR Systems is now fabricating and supplying both AluK’s BSF70 HI and F82 Plus bifolds.
Caroline Thompson, TCR’s Marketing Manager explained: Installers told us they liked the quality of the AluK products, the strength of the brand in the retail market and the ease of installation. They felt that AluK had a distinctive offering, different from many of the other aluminium systems companies, and offered good value for money.
We met with the AluK team and were impressed with the technical, sales and marketing support available. We particularly liked the fact that there are two Part L compliant options in the range, which means we can offer doors at different price points to appeal to different sectors of our market.
TCR Systems has been a One Stop Shop supplier for Ultraframe conservatory roofs, lanterns and rooflights for more than 13 years and the AluK brand sits very comfortably alongside that, with a similar reputation for proven quality and innovative design. Our customers can now access quality roofs and bifolds from TCR at the same time, all backed by the same friendly and efficient service.
TCR Systems, based in Coleshill, Birmingham, plans to use the move into bifolds to expand what is already a very successful business.
Caroline added: We see bifolds as the natural add-on to our roofs for customers who are installing conservatories, orangeries and extensions. We plan to increase our volumes and make sure our customers right across the South and Midlands don’t want to go anywhere else.
The AluK BSF70 HI bifold can be used for up to 7-panel doors with sizes up to 2400mm high, with a pop-out handle which ensures the panels all stack neatly square. The F82 Plus bi-fold offers market leading U-Values of 1.2 with double glazing and 0.9 with triple glazing and can be used for premium installations with panels up to 3000mm high.
