As of November, the Bielefeld company can also call the highest office tower in HafenCity its home. On the 16th floor, with a 360° degree view of Hamburg and the port, Schüco is opening a 752 square meters showroom, its seventh in Germany, consisting of an exhibition space and offices. Here, architects, clients and potential customers can see the Schüco product portfolio up close.
Around 2/3 of the buildings in HafenCity were constructed using Schüco system technology. That makes the HafenCity our largest real-life exhibition area in a single space. Together with our new showroom, architects, fabricators, investors and clients can therefore see the systems in detail as exhibits as well as in their installed state in the HafenCity. That's why Hamburg, with this lively and constantly growing district, is the ideal location for our branch in northern Germany – said Andreas Engelhardt, Managing Partner of Schüco International KG.
The Watermark tower is the largest office building in HafenCity and part of the newly developed "Intelligent Quarters". Standing 70 metres high, the 18-storey tower was developed by Hamburg architectural practice Störmer Murphy and Partners and is clad in a Schücounitised façade as a special construction with AWS 75 insert units and white tiles in the opaque areas. The new showroom is a combination of co-working space, showroom, event venue and espresso lounge.
Offices and an exhibition space are spread across 376 square meters. With large-scale exhibit installations and sample corners for homes and business premises, as well as for burglar resistance and fire protection, a whole world of Schüco products is on display here. All in all, over 60 of the latest window, door, sliding and façade systems are featured in the Hamburg showroom.
The Hamburg showroom is one of seven Schüco showrooms in Germany, with another 14 internationally. This October, the Frankfurt am Main showroom celebrated its first birthday. Situated in Frankfurt's most desirable business location, the exhibition space in the Nextower has developed into an established contact point for architects, specifiers, fabricators and end-users. The aim is that the new Hamburg showroom will take on the same significance for customers in northern Germany.
